DA Global Access Network was founded as Diversity Abroad. For nearly two decades, Diversity Abroad set the standard for expanding access to global education, ensuring that students from all backgrounds, but particularly historically underserved students, could benefit from international learning experiences. While we have evolved into DA Global Access Network, our commitment to inclusive access global education that advances student achievement, workforce readiness, and institutional impact, remains unwavering. Our History: Pioneering Inclusive Global Education
Founded in 2006, Diversity Abroad was created to bridge the gap in global education participation for historically underrepresented students. Initially Diversity Abroad’s focus was on direct student engagement, work that included facilitating the distribution of over one million dollars in study abroad scholarship funds to deserving students. Over the years, its work expanded and Diversity Abroad built a member network of institutions, organizations, and professionals committed to best practices that ensure that all students—regardless of background—could access the benefits of global learning.
